Since when did Homosexuality become the "WORST" Sin?

A Facebook friend posted an article today entitled, "Is Homosexuality Still a Sin?
What does the Bible Say about Homosexuality?
" With all of the attention on homosexual rights these days, I thought it would be fitting to write this blog post.

So many people are quick to jump on the bandwagon of calling homosexuals the "ultimate abomination", because the Bible calls homosexuality an abomination. Yes, homosexuality is AN abomination, but it is not the ULTIMATE abomination. The ULTIMATE abomination is the only sin in the book that cannot be forgiven, and that is hearing the gospel and making a final rejection of the sacrifice of Jesus.

People want to circle the wagons and get all worked up over a homosexual in their midst, yet there are probably more in their own circles of friends who commit adultery, fornicate, lie, steal, stir up discord by being busybodies, etc. ALL of those these are sins the Lord HATES.

I am not trying to water down the consequences of being a homosexual, or the seriousness of the sin. But, according to the Bible, the consequences to all sin is the same, and the only way to get out of paying the ULTIMATE PRICE for the sins that are committed by you is by taking the same action a homosexual can take -- accept Christ as Lord and Saviour, and His sacrifice at the Cross.

I do not support homosexuality by any means. But, then, I don't support adulterers, liars, thieves, murderers or any other such sin either. I'm just saying sin is sin. There is no sin greater or lesser than any other sin and everyone sins:

"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23)

and

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

It does not say "For the wages of SOME sin is death". It says "the wages of SIN". Sin is sin. All sin leads to death.

I Praise God that He saved me, a sinner, through the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

As I said to a homosexual friend of mine who reads my posts on FaceBook: The Bible does not say it is a sin to be gay. It says it is a sin to lie with a man as you would lie with a woman if you are a man. (Leviticus 18:22) In other words, It is not your state of mind, your preferences, etc. that is the problem.

I have a preference to get angry, curse, go to bed with good looking men, etc., but THAT doesn't make me in err. What makes me wrong is if I ACT on those things, or give place to them in my life. It is wrong. And, it is against God's law. Nothing--no man made legislation--is going to change that. But, I am not trying to change the wording of the Bible or telling Christians they shouldn't exist because I have certain preferences, like some are. (See this article for reference: Gay activist says church leaders “must be made to take homosexuality off the sin list”)

I am all for having homosexuals join the church. What I am NOT for is homosexuals being in LEADERSHIP anywhere in the church. I mean, according to the Bible, Jimmy Swaggart should have stepped down, forgiven or not -- for the same reason homosexuals should not be allowed leadership roles in the church. (1 Timothy 3)

Supporting Verses:

Leviticus Chapter 18
18 Neither shalt thou take a wife to her sister, to vex [her], to uncover her nakedness, beside the other in her life [time].

19 Also thou shalt not approach unto a woman to uncover her nakedness, as long as she is put apart for her uncleanness.

20 Moreover thou shalt not lie carnally with thy neighbour's wife, to defile thyself with her.

21 And thou shalt not let any of thy seed pass through [the fire] to Molech, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I [am] the LORD.

22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it [is] abomination.

23 Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it [is] confusion.

24 Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you:

25 And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants.

26 Ye shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit [any] of these abominations; [neither] any of your own nation, nor any stranger that sojourneth among you:

27 (For all these abominations have the men of the land done, which [were] before you, and the land is defiled;)

28 That the land spue not you out also, when ye defile it, as it spued out the nations that [were] before you.

29 For whosoever shall commit any of these abominations, even the souls that commit [them] shall be cut off from among their people.

30 Therefore shall ye keep mine ordinance, that [ye] commit not [any one] of these abominable customs, which were committed before you, and that ye defile not yourselves therein: I [am] the LORD your God.

Deuteronomy Chapter 25
13 Thou shalt not have in thy bag divers weights, a great and a small.

14 Thou shalt not have in thine house divers measures, a great and a small.

15 [But] thou shalt have a perfect and just weight, a perfect and just measure shalt thou have: that thy days may be lengthened in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

16 For all that do such things, [and] all that do unrighteously, [are] an abomination unto the LORD thy God.

Proverbs Chapter 6
16 These six [things] doth the LORD hate: yea, seven [are] an abomination unto him:

17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,

18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,

19 A false witness [that] speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
