Hope in the Midst of the Coronavirus Epidemic

God has said that, as a nation, we should continually seek to follow His laws. If we do not follow His laws, one of the consequences is illness and disease.

Exodus 15:26
“And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.”

But, sometimes, just because you get a disease does not mean you have done anything wrong. It might be a test of faith that is meant for you, alone. Job was stricken with disease during his trial of faith.

With the recent Coronavirus awareness and Emergency Declaration by President Trump, God Inspires is hoping to offer those of you who are anxious hope in the coming days.

In Psalms, David continues to have hope in spite of any challenges with his health, among other things:

Psalms Chapter 103
1 ([A Psalm] of David.) Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, [bless] his holy name.
2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good [things; so that] thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.

We must remember that there is a time for everything. God has our days numbered. NONE OF US is promised tomorrow! But, if we continue in our faith, God's promises of healing will be kept, whether in this life, or the next.

Revelation 22:2
“In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.”

It is not this life that we need to concern ourselves with. It is the next. We need to make sure we are ready, whether we live or die, to receive what God has in store for us in eternity.

In the meanwhile, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7).

There is only so much we can do as human beings. Just remember, God's Got This!

1 Chronicles 28:20
“And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the LORD God, even my God, will be with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou hast finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD.”
