On the National Day of Prayer at Moores Lane

Just got back from the prayer service at Moore's Lane Baptist Church. First, we prayed over all, for the blessing of our God on our Nation, claiming His promise that if we would humble ourselves and pray, then He would hear us and heal our land.

Then, we prayed for all the churches, and all the pastors, and all the congregations. That our churches would stand fast, our pastors would not be deterred from HIS Word, and that they may not water down His Word in any way, and that He might speak through them, and the congregations would love and support their pastors as they do so, and would go out and bring others in, mentoring and teaching and living the faith in the eyes of the world around them.

Then we prayed for all the Judges, lawyers, courts, police, and all other LEOs in our country, that God would protect them and enable them to follow Him in their daily lives, and that He would use them for HIS glory. We prayed for Congress and the President, that they would turn to HIM.

Then, we prayed for our schools, our teachers, and our educational facilitations, citing the prayer that was introduced in 1955 for the purpose of daily prayer "Almighty God, we acknowledge our dependence upon thee, and we beg Thy blessings upon us, our parents, our teachers and our Country."

Then all the children got a balloon with a Bible verse on it and gathered in the center of the lot where we were all gathered and they let their balloons go.

It was a beautiful prayer service. At least 200 people showed up.
