1. HOW DID THE FAITHWALKERS CONFERENCE COME INTO BEING?

The Faithwalkers conference came from the desire to give young men and women the opportunity to hear pastors who have been devoted to Jesus Christ and the Great Commission. At Faithwalkers, people get to hear stories from these men of faith and to learn and benefit from their experiences.

The conference provides a way to continue to pass on the core beliefs of the Great Commission church movement. It is a rallying conference for everyone: young people, couples, parents, and families, to inspire them to be devoted to Jesus Christ and the Great Commission.

The name Faithwalkers was inspired by the Scripture: "We walk by faith and not by sight," (II Cor. 5:7). Also the name Faithwalkers makes a connection to the Native American culture where they would sit around the campfire with the "old ones" listening to them tell stories of the great hunt and deeds of the past. As Christians, older believers are to proclaim the deeds of God to younger believers, as is written in Psalm 78:4: "We will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord."

2. WHEN AND WHERE IS THE NEXT FAITHWALKERS-EAST CONFERENCE?

On December 29, 2016 – January 1, 2017, Faithwalkers-East will be held at the Ridgecrest Conference Center in Asheville, North Carolina. Use of Ridgecrest, a LifeWay Conference Center, for this conference does not imply alignment with or endorsement by any Southern Baptist group.

National Religious Liberties Conference Scheduled November 6,7, 2015

Des Moines, IO - July 2, 2015 (God Inspires) -- The Supreme Court of the United States has spoken: "Gay" marriage is the law of the land. Chief Justice John Roberts' words in the minority report ring ominously: "Unfortunately, people of faith can take no comfort in the treatment they receive from the majority today."

The tax-exempt status of some religious institutions will come into question if they oppose same-sex marriage and if Christian colleges refuse dorms to homosexual couples. All Christian-owned businesses in America are in jeopardy if they refuse to accommodate homosexuals. Every Christian employee is at risk of losing his job. Every Christian school is at risk of lawsuits and fines.

Will Christian churches be forced to recognize homosexual marriage?

Will Christian businesses be forced to endorse homosexual weddings, at risk of fines, property confiscation, and imprisonment?

Will Christians face more loss of jobs, government contracts, and business?

Will Christians survive in the military?

Christians and conservatives are asking these sorts of questions as we enter the 2016 elections.

The rally has been organized by the Multi-Cultural Prayer Movement of Baltimore: 400 participating churches in the Mid-Atlantic Region. 1st Bikers Church Update: David Markham and Truth Infusion

It is 9:16 PM on Saturday night. I just settled down for the night after a remarkable service of Praise and Worship at the 1st Bikers Church in Texarkana with David Markham and the Truth Infusion Band.

Remarkable isn't the best way to describe it. Awesome only begins to touch the description.

My Pastor, Matthew C. Butler, comes from a very annointed family. God has reached down and touched his mother, Glenda Davidson, and said, "You have been so faithful to me. I'm going to do more than heal your heart defect. You are going to live many more years than the doctors say you will. And, not only will I heal your heart, I will give a heart to your progeny, complete with the desire and the ability to reach even more than you see possible right now.

Your daughter will not only have musical talent, but she will marry a man who is gifted to get the message out both with his music and his voice, and your legacy will grow.

You will have sons who will have the musical ability to support you and to grow with you as you lead a budding congregation that I will bless greatly and give a testimony that will reach thousands for My Son's sake. And, one of them I will annoint to use with his voice, and to preach with humility and humor and passion and music a budding congregation that will connect with Me. And, that congregation will feed and grow into a mighty testimony and branch out and bud in ways that you are unable to imagine.

And, Glenda, what you will see in your lifetime is only the beginning, if they follow the example that you have given and continue to seek My face."

I am in awe of what God has done in my church, who He has used to do it, and the walking miracles and lives that have been changed because of it.

Washington, D.C. - May 29, 2015 (God Inspires) -- The Rethinking Hell project, referred to in the New York Times as "leading proponents" of conditional immortality, is pleased to announce the second annual Rethinking Hell Conference 2015, held June 18 to 20 at Fuller Theological Seminary, (135 N Oakland Ave, Pasadena, CA 91101). The conference theme - "Conditional Immortality and the Challenge of Universal Salvation" has attracted a lineup of evangelical scholars and theologians who will present six plenary presentations, breakout discussion meetings, and panel talks that are open to public attendance and participation. The views represented and defended by speakers will include views commonly known as 'traditionalism (eternal conscious torment),' 'conditional immortality,' and 'universalism.'

Tickets for admission to the three-day event are available on the website, Rethinking Hell Conference 2015. Registration, which is open to the public, starts at 5-6:30 PM, Thursday, June 18, prior to the opening presentation, plenary speech, and Q&A starting at 7 PM. Friday and Saturday events include other plenary talks and themed breakout meetings between 9 AM and 9 PM on Friday and between 9 AM & the close at 4 PM on Saturday, June 20.

The conference features noted evangelical theologians, authors and researchers who will speak and present on a wide range of positions on the doctrine of hell. Speakers and panelists will present papers, give lectures and participate in panel discussions, inviting audience questions and participation.

Chris Date, co-editor of the collection Rethinking Hell: Readings in Evangelical Conditionalism and steward of the Rethinking Hell project.

"In the last decade, there has been a growing number of evangelicals who have rejected the traditional view of eternal torment in hell," said Greg Stump, co-editor of the book Rethinking Hell: Readings in Evangelical Conditionalism and organizer of Rethinking Hell Conference 2015. "This conference brings two of the main challengers-conditional immortality and universalism-into a dialogue with proponents of the traditional view to examine the biblical, theological, and philosophical merits of each view. Whether Christians change their minds or not, it definitely seems that there is ample reason to enter conversation with one another as we consider this grave topic."

The conference will present deeply informed and well-established views of the major Christian doctrines on hell in the spirit of open debate and edification for public discussion.
