Going all out in Praise at 1st Bikers Church
There are a lot of people out there who might look at my church and shy away because they feel that we disrespect God by how freely we turn ourselves loose in church.
I disagree. It's my opinion that too many people in this world look at God as some stuffy old man with a temper who sits up there on his throne and either throws a tantrum that wreaks havoc in your life (calling it judgment against the evil in the world) or simply is indifferent. Boy has Satan got those people fooled.
I believe that God is someone who wants to be loved as much as He loves. I believe that He loves it when His children are happy. I believe that nothing brings Him greater joy than when His children go all out for Him, holding nothing back.
When Jesus was at the wedding in Cana, do you think He was somber and reverent? No. I think He laughed. I think He played. I think He clapped. I even think He probably danced. And, do you think He would actually make such wonderful wine if He didn't intend to taste it?
I'm not promoting drinking, by the way. I'm just just trying to point out that when we all stand before the throne of God we are going to be singing praises. We will have nothing to hold back anymore.
I, for one, want to stand before Him each and every day of my life singing His praises. On Judgment Day, when He looks at me, I don't want Him to look at me and say, "Why now? Why didn't you do it when you were alive? I'm supposed to believe you mean it NOW?"
I make Hiim a part of my life because I want Him there. I want to show Him off. I want all I do to Honor Him. Church, to me is just a way for me to be with my brothers and sisters who love Him, too! We are not there to mourn, we are there to proclaim Him, to worship Him, to Praise Him and to tell everyone we love that He welcomes THEIR praises, too! We are there to sample what it's going to be like when John of Revelation looks and sees all those clad in white robes as far as the eye can see raising their arms and singing Praise to the Lord of Lords and King of Kings!
Revelation 7:
13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?
14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.
16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.
17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
I promise you, when it comes time for that, I'm not going to be sitting there with my hands folded and tears running down my face like I don't deserve to be there. He's already cleansed me with the Blood of the Lamb, so I am allowed to rejoice. I was not worthy. Without Him, I AM not worthy. But the Great I AM has made me HIS.
So I love that I go to a church who isn't afraid to laugh, to joke, to stand up and clap and say Amen and Praise Him out loud, with song, dance, preaching, invitation and giving.
Psalm 150
1 Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.
2 Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.
3 Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp.
4 Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.
5 Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.
6 Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.
Think what you want about me and my church because of it. One thing is for sure, God isn't bored with US!

Precious Lord, Take My Hand
Joshua 4
1 And it came to pass, when all the people were clean passed over Jordan, that the LORD spake unto Joshua, saying,
2 Take you twelve men out of the people, out of every tribe a man,
3 And command ye them, saying, Take you hence out of the midst of Jordan, out of the place where the priests' feet stood firm, twelve stones, and ye shall carry them over with you, and leave them in the lodging place, where ye shall lodge this night.
4 Then Joshua called the twelve men, whom he had prepared of the children of Israel, out of every tribe a man:
5 And Joshua said unto them, Pass over before the ark of the LORD your God into the midst of Jordan, and take ye up every man of you a stone upon his shoulder, according unto the number of the tribes of the children of Israel:
6 That this may be a sign among you, that when your children ask their fathers in time to come, saying, What mean ye by these stones?
7 Then ye shall answer them, That the waters of Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the LORD; when it passed over Jordan, the waters of Jordan were cut off: and these stones shall be for a memorial unto the children of Israel for ever.
8 And the children of Israel did so as Joshua commanded, and took up twelve stones out of the midst of Jordan, as the LORD spake unto Joshua, according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel, and carried them over with them unto the place where they lodged, and laid them down there.
9 And Joshua set up twelve stones in the midst of Jordan, in the place where the feet of the priests which bare the ark of the covenant stood: and they are there unto this day.
10 For the priests which bare the ark stood in the midst of Jordan, until every thing was finished that the LORD commanded Joshua to speak unto the people, according to all that Moses commanded Joshua: and the people hasted and passed over.
11 And it came to pass, when all the people were clean passed over, that the ark of the LORD passed over, and the priests, in the presence of the people.
12 And the children of Reuben, and the children of Gad, and half the tribe of Manasseh, passed over armed before the children of Israel, as Moses spake unto them:
13 About forty thousand prepared for war passed over before the LORD unto battle, to the plains of Jericho.
14 On that day the LORD magnified Joshua in the sight of all Israel; and they feared him, as they feared Moses, all the days of his life.
15 And the LORD spake unto Joshua, saying,
16 Command the priests that bear the ark of the testimony, that they come up out of Jordan.
17 Joshua therefore commanded the priests, saying, Come ye up out of Jordan.
18 And it came to pass, when the priests that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD were come up out of the midst of Jordan, and the soles of the priests' feet were lifted up unto the dry land, that the waters of Jordan returned unto their place, and flowed over all his banks, as they did before.
19 And the people came up out of Jordan on the tenth day of the first month, and encamped in Gilgal, in the east border of Jericho.
20 And those twelve stones, which they took out of Jordan, did Joshua pitch in Gilgal.
21 And he spake unto the children of Israel, saying, When your children shall ask their fathers in time to come, saying, What mean these stones?
22 Then ye shall let your children know, saying, Israel came over this Jordan on dry land.
23 For the LORD your God dried up the waters of Jordan from before you, until ye were passed over, as the LORD your God did to the Red sea, which he dried up from before us, until we were gone over:
24 That all the people of the earth might know the hand of the LORD, that it is mighty: that ye might fear the LORD your God for ever.

He touched me...
Deuteronomy 31:8
“And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.”
My God is so good to me. I look back and see the little girl who's daddy and mommy didn't get along and made me pray they would never get back together because of the night terrors it caused me.
I see the bright little girl who moved to a new school only to find that the other students there didn't appreciate her grades, or the attention it got her, or the amount of work it caused them. I see the lonely little girl who sat on the sidewalk during recess because she would rather do without than be the last one chosen in Red Rover.
I see the little girl who went to church because she was hungry to know that SOMEONE was beside her, walking with her, there to talk to about anything, anywhere, in any situation. That is why I got saved when I was eight...and the night terrors disappeared.
I see the adolescent who moved to a new school, made new friends, and decided to BE the new person God had given her the opportunity to be. And, I even messed that up.
I see the teenager who got her heart broken because she did not know how to channel her desires, guard her heart, and have the faith she needed in the only one that really mattered.
I see the teenage mother who was told that her mistake had ruined her life, and rather than being given a hand up, was kicked while she was down by the world around her more often than not, She became emotionally depressed, negative, and angry at everyone...including those who meant well, but didn't know how to best respond.
I see the young woman who struggled to survive on her own, who never asked for anything she couldn't pay back because she didn't want to owe anyone her soul. She began to hang on to the verses "With God all things are possible", and "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." She did without a lot of the things that everyone else took for granted, but she survived, worked hard, and never gave up.
She began to realize that if she couldn't have what she wanted in this life, then she didn't need to mess up what she could have in the next. She didn't quite know she was going to accomplish that, but she now had two children out of wedlock, and it was time that she began to teach them what she knew, even if it wasn't everything they needed to know, because she didn't know everything.
She just didn't want them to make the same mistakes. She wanted them to have a chance.
I see the divorced woman who had been given up, thrown out, given away, pushed away, left alone and shattered, who had determined to stand up, go forward, and continue to lean on God's Grace and Mercy because she knew she was still too far from perfect to be worthy. But, she also knew that others had it far worse than she did, so she was learning to be thankful for what little she had.
I see the stressed young woman who endured betrayal, yanked from everything and everyone she loved, alone in a big city, depending on God to direct her path back home. Through yet another failed relationship, she realized how important it was to never deny the power of God in her life.
And God showed her the world around her, the sunsets, the deserts, the plains and the mountains He created for her. He showed her all of what she had been fighting for, and that freedom was where He ultimately resided. Then He sent her home, where she continued to make mistakes.
Through a street girl, God showed her a little mission church for free spirits like hers. And she cried a lot. Then, one day, she was told that God had as much as put His finger on her and called her His. She started to rejoice and praise Him.
I see the homeless woman who learned to praise God through her tears, to sacrifice herself for everyone around her who needed what little she had to provide. I see her heart open up to people who have been kicked while they are down, and that she learned to encourage them, even when she herself was going through trials and tribulations. She gave them hope, and helped them to have the strength and courage to stand on their own, as she had learned to do.
I see the middle aged woman who had to fight the devil himself in order to regain her footing and determine that no one, even under persecution, would deter her from glorifying Her God, who had made her who she was. She saw doors open for her that she had never imagined could. She learned to walk through them and to trust God alone to put her where He needed her to be.
Today, I look in the mirror and I praise God, that He is my Father, my husband, my brother, my boss, and my best friend. I have learned that no man in the world can provide for me better than He can. I have learned that my surrender to Him is rewarded by my service to Him, and He pays a generous salary.
For the first time in my life, I am happy, content, and overwhelmed by His generosity. And, I am anxious and saddened to understand that there are those that I love dearly who hasn't learned the lessons I have, and who doesn't know the Savior as I do. I pray that I can be the beacon of light that leads someone to the saving grace that was given to me...
Just because He touched me.

If You're Happy and You Know It (Tell Your Face)
This is a song written (and sung) by my pastor, Matthew C. Butler.
Psalms 144:15
“Happy is that people, that is in such a case: yea, happy is that people, whose God is the LORD.”

Don’t Ban the Bible. Defend It.
Source: ACLJ
Banning the Bible.
That’s what one angry atheist group is trying to do in hotels at public universities.
The anti-Christian Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF) is demanding that the Bible – placed by a Christian group – be banned from university hotel rooms.
It’s already had them banned from universities in Illinois, Wisconsin, and Iowa.
FFRF extremists call the Bible “obnoxious” and insultingly claim that the “[B]ible calls for killing nonbelievers.” It even absurdly claims that it is “unconstitutional to have them” – Bibles – in university hotel rooms.
FFRF is legally and constitutionally wrong. It’s time to set the record straight.
We’ve been defending constitutionally protected religious speech at the Supreme Court for decades. Now, we’re sending these universities a critical legal letter to protect the Bible. Add your name today:

God's purpose for you...
A friend said that he thinks of Genesis 6:6 (And it repented the Lord that he made man on earth, and it grieved him at his heart).every time he sees something that says we're special or that we were created for a reason.
Are there any of you who feel the same? Do you:
First of all, you need to realize that you are not here for your own purpose. If you are thinking that way, then that is why you can't understand your purpose. God said His ways are not our ways, nor are His thoughts our thoughts.
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.”
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
Bottom line is, we are here to glorify HIM, not ourselves.
“Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.”
So, when you are feeling down about yourself, and wonder why you are here, just remember that God DOES have a plan for you. It may not be YOUR plan, but if you let Him work in your life, you will find that it's the BEST plan. Just determine to keep going, even though you don't understand and learn to TRUST HIM. Once the plan unfolds, you will find yourself rejoicing at where He has placed you.
“Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.”
“I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”

Publicly Proclaiming Jesus is Lord
“Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.”
The real problem is not the street preachers, but those who oppose their legally protected public speech. The correct solution: learn, apply and teach others unrevised history, law and scripture. Everyone will profit from such an approach.

Many shall be offended...
Matthew 24:10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
As my pastor said the other day, the verse does not say by what many shall be offended, but that they will. If you can't see this as a sign of the last days, there is something wrong. Today, it seems that no matter what you do, someone is going to be offended by it.
Therefore, if I am going to offend someone, I may as well offend them by doing the right thing and being on the right side.
Rejoice! For Jesus is coming back soon!
