A Message From the Editor: Small Break

At 8:23 PM on Thursday, June 4th, I was knocked off-line due to having used up all of the bandwidth I was allowed by my internet provider for the amount I had paid for the month. Since I have no money, I will have to wait until Thursday, a week from the day I was knocked off line, to be able to pay for more. I am looking forward to getting cable internet, but past mistakes have left me with a bill that is too high for me right now that I have to take care of before I can do so, and until then, I rely on my Verizon Hot Spot for internet. While I wait, I am content to use WIFI elsewhere at times to check up on things, when I have the opportunity.

The last message I received before being knocked off line was a private message telling me that I was doing a great job at God Inspires and that I would probably never know how many lives I touch through this ministry.

The last thing I said back was "That is both humbling, and what I hope for. Thanks."

And then, my internet was gone. Wow. Perfect timing. It was as if God was saying, "Don't worry, you'll be back. I have work for you to do there. In the meantime, you need to take a break."

But, those words sustain me, and keep my goal in perspective as I wait.

God Inspires has become the best way I have to do the work that God has called me to do, using the gifts that He has given me. I take it seriously. I give my time and devotion when I am not working for my basic living at my paying job, or spending time with my own church family, to working with it, because it is the way God has led me to be able to further the message He has for you, the reader. And, since God is my everything these days, I see no other way to tell Him that I love Him than to do what He has called me to do from where I am.

In today's world, I have this sense of urgency that my work for God is important. None of us are going to be immune against what is coming, and all of us are going to have to face Him someday. I don't want you to face Him without me having told you what to expect, and how you can be in His presence with joy and not foreboding. I don't want you to have never been presented with the opportunity to answer His calling on YOUR lives. I don't want you to twiddle your thumbs wondering how you can help, and how you can be the hands and feet of a God who loves you enough not to leave you where you are in your life, so that you can discover the abundant life that I have discovered.

Jesus loves you. And, I love you, too.

If God Inspires has inspired you in any way, and if you would like to see it grow, then please visit the support page and consider purchasing something from the items there. Proceeds go toward helping the site grow, and helping me afford the opportunity to further the gospel and promoting others who are-- and, preventing any more "breaks" like the one I just had to take due to lack of funds.

And, if all you have to give is a word of encouragement, you have no idea how much that can sustain someone as they wait for God to move.

Thank you for your visit, let me know what YOU think and feel free to offer your suggestions for the web site -- and, finally, please keep me and God Inspires in your prayers.

Dear Lord,
I pray that You touch the lives of those who read this blog and visit the web site in such a way that they KNOW it is You, and that You love them deeply. I pray that you use this ministry to further Your Kingdom and work Your Will in the lives of those who visit. I pray that You use my hands and feet where possible, because they are Yours, Lord, to do with as You Will. Give me the opportunities and the strength and capability -- financial and otherwise -- to grab hold of them for You, that Your Word would go out into the whole world, and that those who come here can be a part of the Kingdom that You are building. Let Jesus shine through it all. Bless those who have and those who don't, and sustain those who are in need. Be the strength and resolve for those of us who are in the world, but not OF the world. I love You, and I thank you for Your sacrifice on the Cross. In Jesus' Holy Name I pray this. Amen.
