God's purpose for you...

A friend said that he thinks of Genesis 6:6 (And it repented the Lord that he made man on earth, and it grieved him at his heart).every time he sees something that says we're special or that we were created for a reason.

Are there any of you who feel the same? Do you:

  • Constantly ponder the purpose for you own existence?
  • Feel as if you failed by every measure in life by man's estimate, and
  • Wonder why you are still here?
  • See yourself and your life as a waste of time?
  • Feel as if you are a failure?

  • First of all, you need to realize that you are not here for your own purpose. If you are thinking that way, then that is why you can't understand your purpose. God said His ways are not our ways, nor are His thoughts our thoughts.

    Isaiah 55:8
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.”
He also says that He has a plan for us.

    Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
There is nothing that comes out of God's mouth that does not come to pass. He said, "Let there be light, and there was light" (Genesis 1:3)

Bottom line is, we are here to glorify HIM, not ourselves.

    Isaiah 43:7
“Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.”

So, when you are feeling down about yourself, and wonder why you are here, just remember that God DOES have a plan for you. It may not be YOUR plan, but if you let Him work in your life, you will find that it's the BEST plan. Just determine to keep going, even though you don't understand and learn to TRUST HIM. Once the plan unfolds, you will find yourself rejoicing at where He has placed you.

    1 Corinthians 9:24
“Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.”

    Philippians 3:14
“I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”
